Healing Helixes

Healing Helixes is an ongoing research-led painting series exploring material processes of disruption, containment, and repair. Works develop through controlled interactions between fluid behaviour and surface resistance, allowing form to emerge through both intention and contingency. The project also incorporates participant responses to questions around care, perception, and lived experience, which inform the evolving visual language of the work.

The following prompts inform the development of the series, drawing on sensory and experiential responses from participants in healthcare and care settings, and reflecting lived experiences of support, perception, and response.
